Bellamy Young

Young's acting career began in the theatre. In 1997, she had her Broadway debut as Mary in the initial The Life cast. The Life. The actress has appeared Off-Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's show Merrily We Roll Along (1994), and the show of Randy Newman, Faust (1995-1996). Her debut was on TV in 1995 as Dr. Courtney Evans. The actress guest-starred on Law & Order in 1997 and 1998, in two role. In 1999, she made a film debut with a small part on the crime drama Black and White and later joined the cast of several independent movies. In the early 2000s, she began to be a guest star on a variety of TV dramas and comedy series, like The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Between 2000 and 2011, Young appeared in over thirty television shows. Young was one of the actors who appeared regularly on Peacemakers, a USA Network television series that aired in 2003. Peacemakers was pulled after just one season, which was nine episodes. She had recurring roles in the Lifetime legal drama series For the People as Deputy Dist. Atty. Agnes Hunt in 2002, on NBC time-drama American Dreams as Diane Shaw in 2003, on NBC's Scrubs as the character Dr. Grace Miller in 2004 and as the an Assistant State Attorney Monica West on CBS's CSI: Miami (2005-06), and on ABC the primetime soap show Dirty Sexy Money (2008-2009) in the role of Ellen Darling, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Darling family.
